2025年9月10日、アメリカで最も権威ある文学賞とも評される全米図書賞各部門のロングリストが発表されました。今年のノンフィクション部門は、652冊の作品から10冊のタイトルがロングリストに絞り込まれました。
ショートリストは現地時間で10月7日（火）に発表され、受賞者の発表は11月19日（水）に開催される第76回全米図書賞授賞式で予定されています。
アメリカ政治は連日激動の様相を呈していますが、ノンフィクション部門にリストアップされた作品を見る限り、全米図書協会は今のところリベラルなスタンスを保っているようです。とはいえ、来年以降この賞が攻撃の矢面に立たされたり、禁書・焚書運動が広がっていくのではないかと心配になります。
今回はノンフィクション部門のロングリストに選ばれた作品をまとめました。
